Websites Designed for Your Visitors
We bring your ideas to Life
Let's get your ideas on the Web:
A small business site can be designed to contain personal information in order to establish a more personal contact with your customers. When running a small "brick and mortar" business the customers would normally interact with various members of the family or at least meet them from time to time. Pictures, names and a brief comment about the persons involved in running the small business help to complete that personal relationship.
A personal site can be designed to provide contact with family and friends. It can be about a person, a family, a group of friends, etc. and can be very informal. Some personal sites are developed as a form of resume, detailing accomplishments and a person's current situation. Limited only by one's imagination. Is it a business or personal site or a combination?
The Internet is a media where color, like television, is a key element in presentation. Choose the right combination of colors and you have an attractive, popular web site, pick the wrong colors and you have a disaster. Good design color choices are a light color for the background and a dark color for the foreground (typically - text). Third and forth choices of complimentary colors can be used to enhance the appearance.
Using this site as a design example; the background is lilac (very light purple), the foreground text is deep red (almost black) with pink and pale blue as complimentary colors. The links are normal blue, but it doesn't clash with the overall scheme. What colors do you like and how will we combine them?-
Web designers know there are 216 "safe" colors out of the 16.7 million colors available on a monitor. Other colors will default to one of these colors on some systems. The color change will be closest to the one being replaced and could affect the color scheme you have chosen for your site. Using 3 or 4 of the 216 colors is not a hard and fast rule, but it is "safe".
There is nothing wrong with using any color, but be ready to handle negative comments on your choice of colors. Many computer systems can handle 16.7 M, some can handle 65,536 and others are limited to 256 colors. And, always remember, the viewer can have their computer display system set up to their preferences, which may not match your designed color scheme. Use our "safe" color guide to view colors on your own system. -
Understanding your web site's design and development will help you to use it better than if it just happened without your involvement. Knowledge, wisdom, information or any words expressing facts and figures do not necessarily mean there is understanding. Following rules and instructions does not imply understanding. Understanding uses all of the above to create, expand, build something more than the sum of the parts.
A simple example: 1 + 1 = 2 is true following the rules. But, if I were given 1 and 1 [ some people would assume 2 ] I am free to use understanding to get the following: 1 and 1 can be 11; 1 divided by 1 can be 1; 1 minus 1 can be 0; there's more, but the point is, understanding various facts, figures, rules can expand your horizons. You will get a better understanding with our interactive approach. -
Some of the design examples are interesting, but there are more on the way. We are currently developing examples that use PHP as well as XHTML and CSS in their design. Check back once in a while to see if they're posted.
Look at the design formats that are available in the menu to the left. -
If you have an idea for a web site design, if you've just decided you want a web site or you have some plans and concepts about a web site, give us a call. We would be glad to discuss it and to establish an agreement to design it with you. We can supply the whole package, hosting, design, SEO and ongoing maintenace. A one stop shop...
When you're ready, send us an email or call 705-327-0266. -
You can call us directly at 705-327-0266 or send us an email with contact information ( Name, Telephone number, Good time to call you) and we will get back to you. Due to the nature of the Internet the best method of communication is email. There are no restrictions on time [ different time zones ], work, play, travel, etc. that would restrict our getting together to discuss the web site design project.
We need a contact name, number and a time to call you. -
The first telephone contact is for introductions and to become aquainted. Subsequent communication can be via telephone or email depending on your preference.
We'll set up first contact with a phone call. -
As stated earlier the ongoing communication should be via email as it is most flexible.
Most Q & A and communication will be via email.
Definitions are the common ground for communication.
